Boost your business during challenging times
Did you have to drastically modify your business in a hurry due to the coronavirus outbreak?
Here are business boosting ideas that can be implemented easily and affordably.
When budgets become tight, think partnerships and cross-promotions. Is there another business you can partner with that shares similar customers? Can you create a package together? Not only will you gain the attention of customers by offering something unique, you’ll be able to share in the effort and cost to promote it, and perhaps best of all, share audiences on social media. You’ll each get exposure in front of new prospects. Learn more about cross-promotions and co-marketing through the link above. Grab your free cross-promotion planning worksheet while you’re there.
Continue to be active on social media. Keep your latest news in front of your audiences by pinning posts to the top of your feed on Facebook and posting in Instagram Stories. Create a “latest news” Highlight in Instagram to save Stories and make them readily available to your followers. Canva offers templates specifically for designing Instagram Highlights art.
If you don’t have one already, create a loyalty program.
Be sure you have claimed your Google Business Profile and upload information, photos and videos there regularly. Ask a happy customer to leave a review. Activity on this account increases local search engine rankings!
Host a live event on Facebook or Instagram and utilize video conferencing tools to communicate with your team.
Use this time to continue to lay the groundwork for the future. Building a customer base takes time so try to continue with business development efforts in order to reap the rewards at a later date.
Drive more traffic to your website from Pinterest. (You might be surprised by what pins can do!) I think of some of my pins as teammates who are working around the clock to send visitors to my site.
Try to stay positive. Let’s do what we can to help each other! Help businesses communicate their news and offers by sharing their posts on your social media platforms. Please let me know if you have questions regarding these ideas or if you have implemented something that you would like to share.
